Re: SDMX/SXSr message connection string

While "no system could use it to actually identify the DMX data in question", it will provide existing configuration information to the querying device. It would allow a control desk to identify a server configuration so the operator can manually patch the server, deciding manually how to ...

SDMX/SXSr message connection string

There are currently four connection strings defined, all of which are ethernet related. DMX delivered via RS-485 transmission is not defined. While it may be a bit illogical to use RS-485 DMX transmission if a network connection is also available for CITP communication, it is not disallowed. A DMX E...

Re: One mediaserver with many outputs - how to ?

Too much freedom allows for incompatible implementations. Working with MSEX support on a multiple output server which does not support video streaming, so VSRC is irrelevant. There does not seem to be a way to exactly correlate a particular layer on a particular output in the MSEX 1.2 LSta message t...

Re: CITP_MSEX_1.2_ELUp

If Lars is not going to respond with some explicit examples, it would be helpful if a person or three writing CITP client code would chime in with an example or three of what they are expecting to receive in this update message.

Thanks in advance.

GELI Examples Incorrect

The example text associated with 10.4.1 MSEX/GELI shows library id's such as {1,0-256,0,0} and {2,0,0-256,0}. The range 0-256 is incorrect, a total of 257 elements and larger than 8 bits. The range should be 0-255.

MSEX-ELIn/MSEX-ELUp Disparity

The CITP_MSEX_1.2_ELIn message allows for more than 256 libraries and/or elements. The CITP_MSEX_1.2_ELUp message is limited to 256 in the number of libraries and/or elements it can report. There is a disparity between the two messages.

Re: Library Types

"... next available number." 9 (nine) then is the library type associated with meshes, if my arithmetic skills suffice.

For the moment, that is all. We'll see what else pops up during development.

Thanks.

Re: Library Types

The product is the High End Systems DL/Axon media server. The server is a 3D server. Media is textured onto variously shaped 3d meshes. Meshes range in shape from highly abstract, to product logos, to 2D rectangles. At this time the only attribute of interest is the shape, as the size, position, rot...

Library Types

The CITP protocol specification lists eight (8) recognized library types. 2D/3D mesh objects are not listed in this list, but it is very handy to be able to retrieve information and thumbnails for them. What is the proper library type for reporting such mesh objects? None of the eight recognized typ...

Name Strings

Regarding the strings returned providing the names of media, effects and such, is it desired to have the complete path name if the particular element is a file in a file system? For example, a movie file might be c:\media\nature\wizbangligthing.mpg. Should a MSEX ElIn message provide the name as the...
