Re: MSEX 1.2 Reference Implementation

Hi, It's back online now (lewlight.com)! I think it does up to 1.2, but I know I should release a new version because it has flaws. I will point out that it's not an attempt at a CITP compatibility test app, the term "test suite" simply refers to being useful for testing. The UUID field is...

CITP protocol specification

Protocol specification The CITP protocol specification can be downloaded as a PDF from the download section of the Bitbucket project where the specification is kept: https://bitbucket.org/lars_wernlund/citp/downloads Contributing The specification consists of an HTML document and a CSS style sheet ...

Re: Quick start guide ?

Hi,

If all you want to do is send DMX - no blind, no patch, no selection or other fancies - I think your best bet is to send it as sACN, not using CITP! All that requires is creating a datagram socket, joining a multicast group and sending packets.

Re: One mediaserver with many outputs - how to ?

There does not seem to be a way to exactly correlate a particular layer on a particular output in the MSEX 1.2 LSta message to the LayerCount and LayerInformation provided in the MSEX 1.2 SInf message. .. Physical output is only provided in the LSta message. Accurate. SInf should report an array of...

Re: CITP/MSEX video stream resolutions

We have got MSEX 1.2 and fragmented JPG/PNG streaming implemented for the next version of Capture now. If anyone wants a beta for integration tests, just let me know.

Cheers,

Re: CITP/MSEX video stream resolutions

As there have been no comments or objections on the fragmenting I have updated the spec now with a fragment data preamble.

Re: CITP/MSEX video stream resolutions

I had kind of assumed following the spec that MSEX like any CITP message would use the CITP header to sequence fragmented message transmission. .. I don't mind either way really, new types could do it too, I just wonder if anyone else built their stacks to operate with fragmented CITP messages from...

Re: CITP/MSEX video stream resolutions

It is time to progress this matter, and there is a plan! Rather than adding a new message type to any of the existing MSEX versions or adding yet another version only for the purpose of accomodating fragmented streams, here is what I will move forward with unless there are objections: - We introduce...
