Re: Name Strings

Hi Tom, This is very much to your implementation I would say. I would say that the specific path on disc where your media resides is not very interesting to the consumer, unless each media is possibly in a different location and the path is important (say if you had c:\green\logo.mpg, c:\red\logo.mp...

Re: MSEX-ELTh and MSEX-EThn

Hi ustulation!

You're right! Fixed the missing [] now.

Regarding the asymmetry of (multiple id's in GELT / GETh) vs (only one image in ELTh / EThn) - that's just how it is (one GELT / GETh may cause several reply messages). :-)

Re: CITP_MSEX_1.2_ELUp

Is the implied hierarchy of the structure members LibraryId, then the sub libraries of the referenced LibraryId, and then the elements of the flagged sub libraries? Or, are the AffectedElements member and the AffectedLibraries member at the same level of the implied hierarchy? I'm not quite sure ho...

Re: CITP_PINF_PLoc->State[]

Is this "Ready" term valid (then the specs should be adjusted) or is this a bug in the Test Suite? These terms are not to be considered as "well defined" and used programmatically. They can only be displayed on-screen. I've checked the test suite code briefly but it shouldn't be...

Re: Is RGB8 == BMP or is RGB8 <> BMP ?

With different media servers, I testing resolutions such as 50x50 for streaming CITP->MSEX->StFr, and have problems because this resolution cannot be divided by 4. This particular media server always send the pitch (like BMP pitch), which results in disturbed images on our side. That is why I ask i...

I've updated the "original" posts with a few versions back now. New versions will be posted in now postings. =)

Re: CITP Protocol Specifiactions Archive

Fair!

1) I'll see what I can do to find older versions. It's all in subversion so it shouldn't be difficult.

2) On each new version I'll make sure to make a new post rather than update the existing!

Re: CITP Protocol Specifiactions Archive

Hi,

Me and Nick were pretty careful not to remove anything from the older specs. In fact, I don't think you could find anything in an older spec that's not in the newer!

What specifically was on your mind?

Cheers,
Lars

Re: Is RGB8 == BMP or is RGB8 <> BMP ?

Hi, 1. RGB8 is raw triples of 8-bit RGB data. Sending BMP here would be wrong! 2. No there is no difference. 3. I'll update the documentation right away. 4. Personally I would avoid introducing more file formats as it increases the complexity of all softwares. BMP doesn't add any value to RGB8, PNG ...
